I'm a children's author from Essex, writing everything from board books and picture books to chapter books and middle grade adventures.
As a child, I was happiest with my nose in a book or glued to the television whenever anything even remotely magical was on. I adored The Worst Witch and could never resist Grotbags, Rentaghost, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, She-Ra and He-Man. But I loved stories like The Naughtiest Girl in the School just as much, with their friendships, school adventures and wonderfully imperfect characters. Between them, they made me believe there was a little bit of magic hidden in everyday life. If I'm honest, I still believe that.
These days, I spend my days dreaming up stories for children of all ages, from first books to bigger adventures. Whether they're magical, funny or full of heart, I'm always drawn to curious characters, unlikely friendships and the moments that help children see the world, or themselves a little differently.
My debut young fiction series, Witchy Boo is published by Puffin, and I'm already busy dreaming up new adventures for my cute witchy ghost.
When I'm not writing, or thinking about writing, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, drinking far too many cups of tea, reading, sewing or heading out for a nature walk. I also spend a fair amount of time worrying about absolutely everything (I'm working on it!), while Moon, my mischievous cat, reminds me not to take life too seriously.
I hope you find something here that makes you smile, and maybe even reminds you that a little bit of BIG magic can still be found in everyday life.
